It was a maiden voyage with maidens!
The weather gods proved kind to Hot Women for their afternoon cruise last Saturday. Following a week of very wet weather, Port Macquarie showed its beautiful sunny face for the business women’s group to enjoy their final event for 2010.
Cruise Adventures and Port Badges & Engraving co-sponsored the outing, enjoyed by a very enthusiastic group of women. In keeping with the philosophy of the Hot Women group, participants included women from a diverse range of backgrounds, levels and interests – from a student teacher to registered nurses and company managers.
Hot Women Afloat also marked the maiden voyage for Cruise Adventures newest vessel, the Discovery 2. Owner John Fowler explained that a shallow draft and capacity for up to 50 passengers means Discovery 2 can take groups in comfort for cruises to places of scenic and environmental interest that other boats in Port Macquarie can’t reach. For the Hot Women event, we cruised upstream in the Maria River to the National Park area where we enjoyed the sight of dozens of water dragons sunbaking on the banks.
Sandra Magann introduced her business, Port Badges & Engraving, and demonstrated a range of her products which go well beyond the traditional engraved items to include identity cards, a wide range of name tags and lanyards, labels and more. Participants in Hot Women Afloat were pleasantly surprised to be given a complimentary identity tag on a hot pink, Hot Women lanyard. Hot Women have adopted a number of these identity items for their membership package, in order to help promote the growing Hot Women network.
